        William J Duffy RN MJ (Health Law) CNOR FAAN, past Program Director for the Nursing and Healthcare Administration MSN at Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing at Loyola University of Chicago. Mr. Duffy received his BSN from Loyola University (Chicago) and his Masters of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola’s School of Law. Bill’s background is in perioperative nursing. He spent the majority of his nursing career in the operating room serving as a staff nurse, manager, director and vice president of perioperative services. Mr. Duffy achieved his certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) in 1988 and has been active in his professional association. Bill served on the Board of Directors of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). Mr. Duffy is a Past President of AORN (2004-2005). During his tenure he led the association’s initiative for National Time Out Day to eliminate wrong site surgery. He has spoken nationally and internationally on health law and leadership topics in addition to being an accomplished author. He has had his research on the Impact of Point of Care Documentation with an Electronic Medical Record on the Nurse Patient Interaction in Nursing Administration Quarterly. Bill has been interviewed by the Associated Press, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, NPR radio, Fox National News and CBS’s The Early Show. Bill is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing a recognition achieved by less than 1 percent of the nursing population. In 2010, Mr. Duffy was awarded AORN's highest honor, the Award for Excellence in Perioperative Nursing and he was recognized in 2006 by the Nursing Spectrum’s with the Award for Excellence in Advancing the Profession, He also received AORN's Outstanding Achievement in Perioperative Management Award and Loyola University’s School of Nursing 2010 Distinguished Alumnae Award. Bill is a lifelong Chicagoan where he lives with his wife, Chic, and have three daughters. One of whom he is proud to say is now a nurse practitioner.

        System Vice President of Perioperative Nursing Practice for Geisinger Health System in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania

        Jamie Ridout, MSN, MBA, RN, CNOR, NEA-BC, CASC, is the system vice president of Perioperative Nursing Practice for Geisinger Health System in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania. In her role, Jamie oversees perioperative practice for nine hospitals and four ASCs. Ridout has over 32 years of perioperative experience and 25 years leadership in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. Ridout serves as AORN National Vice President and is on the ballot for AORN National President Elect. She is a member of the Capital North Carolina Chapter (3413). She served three terms as President of the North Carolina State Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. Ridout holds CNOR, NEA-BC and CASC certifications. She received her BSN at West Virginia University in 1993, MSN at Duke University in 2000 and MBA at Elon University in 2014. She resides in Cary, NC.

        As the Senior Director of Perioperative and Endoscopy Services, I provide strategic, clinical, operational, and financial leadership over all surgical and endoscopy operations at UI Health. I am responsible for optimizing performance across the Operating Rooms and Endoscopy Labs, with direct accountability for surgical throughput, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and capital planning. This role supports system-wide integration and high-reliability operations through close collaboration with medical directors, physician partners, and interdisciplinary teams.
